‘Knight Rider’ car gets speeding ticket. It’s been parked for years

The vehicle in the museum is not one of the original screen-used cars from the TV series, which aired between 1982 and 1986. Just five original cars have survived production, according to Autoevolution. The version displayed in the Chicago museum was built by Mark Scricani of Mark’s Custom Kits in 1991. Scricani used the original design plans and promoted his business where he makes KITT accessories for fans of the show.
