The Oldest Churches In Iran

  Sorkhabad Church belongs to the first Pahlavi period and is located in Sorkhabad village in Savadkuh city. This work was registered as one of the national monuments of Iran on August 28, 2003, with registration number 9271.  The religious ceremony of the railway workers was organized by Italian Christian engineers who had come to Savadkuh to build the railway. The length and width of this church are three by three with an entrance door and two windows, one on the east side and the other on the north side. Brick and plaster were used to build this church.
