Elizabeth Holmes is a 31-year-old who is worth $4.6 billion. She dropped out of Stanford to start a blood testing company called Theranos. She used the money for her education to fund the company. While recently having run into some problems, at one point her company was worth an estimated $9 billion and she has a 50% stake. Theranos uses a painless prick to get a patient’s blood, at less cost than commercial labs.
