The Chinese are launching a luxury rival for Porsche and Mercedes. How the new Denza Z car from BYD looks
In terms of specifications, the Denza Z 9 GT is aimed squarely at rivals like the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo, although it is larger than the German electric car (200 mm longer and 225 mm longer on the wheelbase). Power is provided by three electric motors that produce a total of 952 hp, and their energy is supplied by a lithium-ion fuel cell (LFP) battery pack with a capacity of 100.1 kWh. In China, the company also offers a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version that combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and three electric motors with a total output of 858 hp.
