REZA PAKRAVAN
The
fastest crossing of the Sahara desert by bicycle was 13 days 5 hours 50 minutes and 14 seconds by Reza Pakravan from 4 March to 17 March 2011. The total distance cycled was 1,734 km (1,083.85 mi). The journey was completed in two legs, due to unsafe travel conditions. During the trip, Reza endured a strong sand storm, rain and abundant flies at the Nile River but was ultimately successful.
