Tabriz  is the most populous city in northwestern Iran, one of the historical capitals of Iran and the present capital of East Azerbaijan Province. It is the fifth-most-populous city in Iran.

Naser al-Din was in Tabriz from the Qajars tribe when he heard of his father’s death in 1848, and he ascended to the Sun Throne with the help of Amir Kabir.

Shams-ol-Emareh is one of Tehran’s historic buildings and a remnant of the Qajar Dynasty. It is one of the most prominent buildings on the east side of Golestan Palace. It was built around 1830. It is notable for its height, decorations, and design.

Iran’s domestic consumption and production have steadily grown together since 1984 and it is still heavily reliant on traditional thermal energy sources of electricity, with a small fraction being produced by hydroelectric plants.

The Qajar Imperial Family in exile is currently headed by the eldest descendant of Mohammad Ali Shah, Sultan Mohammad Ali Mirza Qajar.
