Sean Penn, 59, and girlfriend Leila George, 27, make rare public appearance

Directed by James, the movie is a drama about a Tennessee carpenter based on a 20-year-old novel by one William Gay.

Leila is also slated to feature in an upcoming short sci-fi movie called Solus directed by Mind Games helmsman Adrian Carr.
