Paris Hilton says she was abused as teen at Utah school

She spoke to the Utah Senate Judiciary, Law Enforcement, and Criminal Justice Committee in favor of the bill that would require more government oversight of youth residential treatment centers and require them to document when they use restraints.

Hilton, 39, had previously revealed the allegations that she was abused at the school for 11 months at age 17 in the YouTube Originals documentary This Is Paris.

The measure passed out of the committee unanimously following emotional testimony from Hilton and several other survivors, and will now be heard on the Utah State Senate floor for a vote.
