Gigi Hadid’s father boasts the $10million supermodel is ‘self-made’ and ‘never took a dollar from her parents’

In one scene from season four of the popular Bravo program, Yolanda flew to New York to help Gigi set up her first apartment in the city ahead of her first semester at The New School where she was set to study criminal psychology. 'I always felt she should take a year off and just work and make as much money as she can, and she didn't want to,' Yolanda told the camera.

Hadid also explained that Gigi was supposed to have a roommate, but that fell through because the other girl's parents wanted her to live in a dorm with other freshmen.

'I didn't want Gigi to live in a dorm because I wanted her to be in more of a work environment,' Yolanda said. 'Kids party and go out and get drunk and I wanted her to really focus on her career where she has to get up at five in the morning and go to work and shoot all day. You know, that was important to me.'

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in the trendy SoHo area of Manhattan was reportedly owned through a trust and hit the market in 2015 for $2.45million and sold for $2.3M six months later, according to Business Insider.
