The infamous American gangster was rumored to have faked his death in 1882, so his body, believed to belong to him, was exhumed in 1995 for DNA testing. Experiments showed that the body DNA was similar to that of his descendants and that the body really belonged to him. However, two other bodies were later exhumed; Including the body of a man who during his lifetime claimed to be his real Jesse James.
