On another occasion, a woman found a dead possum in her toilet. These unusual guests are excellent swimmers and can hold their breath for a long time — that’s why they can crawl into your toilet.
Thankfully, only baby possums can fit through your pipes, but this doesn’t mean that they are any less dangerous. Possums, like mice, carry rabies, so if you ever see one in your toilet call pest control immediately. Whatever you do, don’t touch the animal since it can transfer its disease to you.
