During their heyday as one of Hollywood's most intriguing couples, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes raised eyebrows for their significant age difference — not to mention their rumored set-up by the Church of Scientology. There's a 16-year age gap that's made all the more uncomfortable by the fact that Holmes was once a huge fan of the Mission: Impossible star and allegedly even had his poster on her childhood bedroom wall (via Complex). But that's not all that Holmes did as a kiddo. She also allegedly prayed for Cruise during her days at the private Catholic school Notre Dame Academy. Former classmate Angela Domschot dished about Holmes to Celebuzz in 2012. "In religion class, when we were about 16, we would have to say prayers to keep a certain someone safe and out of harm," she claimed. "Katie would say it for Tom Cruise. We did that every day, so she would have said thousands of prayers for him." Domschot also claimed Holmes kept photos of Cruise in her textbooks and dreamed about marrying him. While it's possible that Domschot was simply taking advantage of Holmes' relevance in the media to earn some side dough and snag some attention, it's worth noting that Holmes did once say that she "used to think [she] was going to marry Tom [Cruise]."
