Love them or hate them, there's no denying that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are a powerhouse celebrity couple, but their relationship wouldn't have blossomed as it did — and resulted in three kids together — if one of them hadn't been a super-fan of the other. We're talking about West, who admired Kardashian for years before they ever got together. She was the reason he bought his very first cell phone!

Speaking with sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian on Kocktails with Khloe in 2016, West said  (via the Daily Mail), "I got a phone because somebody decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries," referring to Kardashian's second husband. West tried to convince Kardashian to call off her wedding to the NBA pro. "I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, that now they wear their pants all the way up to here," West said, raising his hands to his chest.

It's not cool that West was willing to break up an engagement, but considering how Kardashian and Humphries' short-lived romance turned out, we'll give him a pass.
