10. Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress

This “Queen of Pop” is remembered for her bizarre dress, hat and shoes made from raw meat at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. It obviously gave air to a lot of controversies. Designed by Franc Fernandez and styled by Nicola Formichetti, the dress was condemned by animal rights groups, and named by Time as the top fashion statement of 2010. The dress has since been dried and preserved by taxidermists and is on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio, US. At the time, the singer was quoted as saying: “If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And I am not a piece of meat.”
