Vanisha and Amit married in 2004. Their ceremony had festivities that lasted a total of six days at a 16th-century chateau, Palace of Versailles, and a temporary wooden castle. The family flew 1,000 guests from all over the world by private jet to France for the event. The invitations alone were elaborate in the sense that they were mailed in silver boxes and included plane tickets and rooms at a five-star hotel in Paris. Bombonieres consisted of gift bags filled with jewels. The dinner was prepared by chefs flown in from India and one of the highlights of the festivities was at the reception where a performance by singer Kylie Minogue took place while fireworks went off at the Eiffel Tower.
